Description

Population genetics: Studies have been carried on genetic structure of different organism living in and around the Faroe Islands. Investigations have been done on different fish species living on the Faroe Bank, on the Faroese House Sparrow (Passer domesticus), the Faroese house mouse (Mus musculus), Faroese eel (Anguilla Anguilla) as well as the genetic structure and origin of the Faroese people. Currently, I am collecting samples from Faroese rats (Rattus norvegicus) and hares (Lepus timidus), which I the future will be used for genetic analyses.
