Description
This is a strategic partnership between Bakkafrost and the University of the Faroe Islands with the purpose to enhance the knowledge of the Faroese nearshore area in terms of its dynamic, ecological, biotic and abiotic characteristics, to understand the interaction between aquaculture and the natural environment within the nearshore area, in order to develop solutions for optimal responsible and sustainable salon production, to develop an understanding of the medium to long term climatic changes and their potential impact for aquaculture activities and to create opportunities for students to carry out thesis work within these topics.
