Research Council Faroe Islands - Granskingarráðið - is a public institute administering an external fund which supports research. 

Research Council Faroe Islands has three main working areas:

  • Administers funds for research, mainly the Research Foundation but also other funds 

  • Hosts the Faroese National Contact Point service for Horizon Europe and is Bridgehead Organisation of the Faroese EURAXESS services.

  • Provides information on research and research results.
